The white and orange buggy is the baja bug that was raced by the late Mickey Thompson. This buggy was featured in an article in the Dirt Sports Magazine dated August 1, 2008 under the heading "Remembering Mickey Thompson". The article stated the following: The 1982 Baja 1000-winning Raceco languished in a garage in Orange, California, for years. The last time it was accounted for, it was owned by a gentleman named Bob Crawford, who later moved to Idaho, where he passed away. From there, the trail of Mickey Thompson's one and only Baja 1000-winning ride turns cold.
The buggy is now located in Ohio.
