This buggy was featured in an article in the Dirt Sports Magazine dated August 1, 2008 under the heading "Remembering Mickey Thompson". The article stated the following: The 1982 Baja 1000-winning Raceco languished in a garage in Orange, California, for years. The last time it was accounted for, it was owned by a gentleman named Bob Crawford, who later moved to Idaho, where he passed away. From there, the trail of Mickey Thompson's one and only Baja 1000-winning ride turns cold. The buggy is now located in Ohio.
